Food chains and decomposers

Who eats whom in a habitat, and what happens to living things when they die?

Students predict changes in an Australian bush food web on the iPad, build food chains from paper cards using a source about Australian animals, then search real leaf litter for the decomposers that recycle dead things. Lesson 1 needs only iPads; lessons 2 and 3 need paper and a bucket of leaf litter.
