Changing Habitats

How do human activities influence ecosystems, and how can we measure improvements?

Habitat removal, pollution and introduced organisms can reduce survival; restoration can improve conditions. Organisms respond differently. Repeated observations and comparison sites help evaluate change; a rise in counts alone cannot prove a restoration caused it.
